I got this case for my birthday, and I was so happy because I finally had something that would really protect my iPad. I have the new iPad, and this case offers exceptional protection. I've accidentally let my iPad tumble out of my hands a few times with this case on it, and nothing happens to the case or the iPad. The case is beautiful (I have the grey/pink one) and I especially like the cutout on the back where the Apple logo shows through. Wonderful case if you're looking for rugged drop protection with some nice style to it.On the other hand, this case is practically IMPOSSIBLE to take off. The silicone wrapping comes off very easily, but when it's time to take off the hard shell, it feels like it is super glued to the iPad. You can't just rip it off because you might break the case, the iPad, or your fingernail. The Otterbox website does have a video on how to remove the case, but it doesn't really help. It took me a half hour to take off the shell.The new iPad is all about the gorgeous retina display, and the built-in screen protector takes away from that. It's not completely clear and no matter how well you put it on, there will always be little bubbles underneath it. The case also adds a good amount of weight to your once feather-light iPad.All in all, this is a really great case, but only if you plan to leave it on for a long time. :)

I love this Otterbox case that I purchased as a present to accompany the new iPad that I purchased for my mother and she loves it but be warned!!! many sellers are selling cheap Chinese counterfeit OtterBox cases on Amazon and elsewhere for they have flooded the market with counterfeit cases that are not anything other than pieces of cheap Chinese junk so be very careful when purchasing one of these cases for the price sounds too good to be true you are most likely purchasing a cheap Chinese counterfeit case that is extremely poorly made of the cheapest materials available and you get what you pay for and that is my advice for what it's worth.

Just received this case today and I love love love love it!!! The screen is great. I am not sure if it has been improved on since previous review but the screen is NOT cloudy and does not distort viewing in anyway. This is the 5th case I have tried and it's the only keeper!!!

I just love my Otterbox items. I just love how the iPad Defender works just as good or better than my iPhone Defender. When you put your iPad into this case you can just feel the protection. I love the quality and the color. (I ordered pink) I was also happy that the price went down by $30.00. If you are on the fence about which case to buy, get this one. I have over 20 cases and this is by far my most favorite one. The only thing I wish could be fixed is, the glare. If you are outside or have bright light it is very hard to see the screen. Other than that one thing, I love it!

It's heavy and the design for the stand is a bad design. It is very protective though I don't expect I have to worry about the grand kid breaking the screen!

The OtterBox is perfect for me. I use the on-screen keyboard and didn't need a case that included a keyboard. The OtterBox is easy to snap in place and doesn't interfere with the touch screen. I like the gray color as it contrasts with nearly all tables and countertops - makes it much easier to remember where I left it in the house.
