I purchased this case after first purchasing the Poetic slimline. I actually liked the slimline quite a bit -- the price was right and it was super lightweight (barely more than the iPad itself). From a quality perspective, it was perhaps less sturdy than I needed, and my kids managed to drop and break it (it did the job, though -- not a scratch on the iPad).I found this case next. More expensive, yes, but the quality is definitely there. Like the Poetic, it fits like a glove and adds very little to the overall size and weight of the iPad. The back on this is rubberized, and has a nice handfeel.. One thing that I wasn't expecting was that it also has a raised line of plastic on the back for use in tucking the cover in to make a stand. In practice I don't usually stand my iPad up, so don't really have a need for this, but in the end the last 1/4 of the top cover folds across this and it provides a nice hand hold.Overall I'm really happy with the purchase. I'd probably buy it again.

Excellent quality case. The red one is purple on the inside, which is something of a surprise, but it looks good. Nice, supple leather. Two stand positions, both landscape, one suitable for typing, one for watching videos. The back has a nice rubberized feeling to it (not plasticky), which is great. The ipad snaps in easily and securely. This case is also great because it is slim, yet feels like it will protect the ipad well. With many other cases I looked at you have to choose between extra bulk or inadequate protection, but that isn't the case here. The red ("teaberry") color is very nice and stylish. Solid product overall if you are willing to pay a bit of a premium price. Check out the manufacturer's website for a few additional pictures.

After hours of searching for the best case for my new iPad Mini with Retina Display and scouring Amazon from top to bottom, I decided to try the Knomo case. In the end, however, I didn't purchase it from Amazon because, after visiting the Knomo site, I didn't have faith that the Knomo cases sold on Amazon were actually the very latest version - designed specifically for the new iPad Mini. According to the Knomo site the product code for their very latest version is 14-086-SCT, which I couldn't find on Amazon (assume it will be coming soon). So I had to purchase at Knomo's USA site to be sure. The case arrived and it totally exceeds my expectations. The quality is the highest I've seen in an iPad case of any size and fits the iPad Mini 2 (Retina Display-128GB) like a glove including the hole in the back for the rear facing microphone. I'm rarely 100% satisfied with a purchase, but I am completely happy with this product in every way. Assuming this latest version comes to Amazon soon, I would advise anyone in the market for a classy, extremely high quality and high functioning case to purchase this case. I love it and I just don't care who knows it! (movie line). If you have the 1st generation iPad Mini, any of the Knomo cases for iPad Mini currently sold on Amazon are a great option and are cheaper than they are on the Knomo USA site.

This case is a perfect fit for my Ipad mini with retina display. It lacks, however, a slit in the back for the additional microphone on this model. if you plan to film videos with this ipad, perhaps you should consider another case. The quality of the leather is excellent, and it seems to provide great protection for the ipad. All the controls are very accessible.

I wish the leather were a little deeper brown, but it's still pretty and smells delicious. I like the snug fit on my iPad mini, and the interior fabric is super soft and makes me feel safe about it touching the face of my device. The rubberized back cover is great to avoid slipping out of my hands or moving around when I leave it on the counter, etc. I'm very pleased with the purchase! Only 4 stars because I wish the color of the leather were a little darker.

I love this case. It fits perfectly and adds no bulk or weight to the mini and the color is fun and feminine. I actually have bought it twice. The first one I used daily and stayed in tact but the leather ultimately got smudge marks from where I hold it and I couldn't clean them and I'm just picky so I ordered another. I did have to send the second one back as it was defectively sewn, but Amazon immediately issued a refund and gave me free shipping. This case can stand up to watch tv at one viewing angle. It's so lightweight I mostly used it holding it (which is why it did get dirty) and you can't really type with it standing up or it will just fall down. But it would work with a Bluetooth keyboard. Of all the cases I've used for the mini, this one is by far the cutest and made of the best leather, and it fits nicely in that nothing is obstructed and it just snaps into the hard back cover perfectly. Only the top is leather, but its real leather, not fake bonded junk. Classy, cute, lightweight cover. I really love it.

It's a tight fit, but this might be because I am trying to put the retina ipad into a case that doesn't say that it works with a mini. I'd does fit, but without the satisfying "click" when putting the Ipad inside. Currently the ipad is in this case as I type and no troubles, fits snugly, doesn't fall out, and the leather is beautiful. The cover is VERY stiff when you receive it, so spend some time to work the leather.Knomo just released a case that is specifically for the retina(I have only seen it on Zappos).
