So I've been reading all these reviews about the iPad falling out of the slot and I'm really not sure what they're talking about. Let me preface by saying that I have both this keyboard as well as the Logitech Ultrathin White edition right now to see which one goes back. So far it's been a really hard decision. The form factor of the Logitech is sooo nice. What the other reviewer was saying about the technical specs of the both the Zagg and Logitech and stating that the Zagg was actually lighter. Whether that's true or not, you definitely can tell that the Zagg is a heavier keyboard paired with the iPad. But it's not really an issue in everyday use.Regarding the iPad falling out issue, I'm not experiencing that at all. I've been actually trying to make it fall out by tapping the iPad a little harder than normal, sliding the zagg back and forth with quick movements, but the iPad stays firmly in place. Let me also say that I have a iCarbons carbon fiber skin on the back and a Skinomi screen protector on the front. Could those two things provide a better grip while in the slot? I'm not sure but it may be doing something.Zagg Pro PlusPros:- feels solidly built- backlighting is a cool feature- magnets to keep the iPad in closed position are pretty strong- keyboard keys are excellent (no surprise since Zagg has pretty much perfected this)Cons:- pretty heavy (in comparison to the Logitech Ultrathin)- aluminum back is very scratch prone (have it covered right now with a temp skin but it seems to feel more scratch prone than the Logitech)- moving the iPad from the slot to closed position is a little clumsy at first. Have to position it just right on one side and than you're good to go.Read more ›

This product is better in many ways than the Logitech Ultra Thin iPad Keyboard - it feels more solid with its all aluminum construction, the keys are bigger and have a good tactile feel, great keyboard backlight and it stays tightly shut for traveling. Unfortunately, it has one major defect - virtually any movement can cause the iPad to fall out of its slot when you are typing. I can't tell you how many times my iPad has fallen out onto the table or the floor. The Logitech keyboard magnetically attaches the iPad to the keyboard slot so I can have confidence it won't fall out when I'm using it. Without this or some other type of connection, you are putting your iPad at risk.

Oh, where do I begin. I had received the new Ipad with Retina Display for Christmas and made the mistake of purchasing a leather portfolio-style cover with bluetooth keyboard attached for $30 on Ebay. What a piece of crud. It was rubbery, the keys were unresponsive to touch, and I constantly had to go back and correct all the letters that did not register when I was typing. Also this cheap keyboard would lose its bluetooth pairing/synch everytime I turned it on. Okay, now onto the Zagg Keys Pro Plus keyboard.i cannot say enough good things about the Zagg Keys Pro Plus. The keyboard feels great, keys are responsive and spaced nicely apart. The backlighting on thy keys is an extra added bonus when typing in dimly lit areas such as airplanes, and it just looks plain cool. The keyboard has special keys made for Ipad such as the Home Screen key (like on your ipad), arrow keys to move around. You only have to pair the keyboard with the Ipad once. Yes, that's right, only once. My ipad sits nicely in the groove that holds the Ipad in place and never had any problems with it falling out, not even when I use it on my lap. I work as an Executive Assistant and type 117 wpm and this setup with the ipad and Zagg Keys Pro Plus together will make using it in meetings to take notes a joy. Also, I have been asked by people passing by, when they saw it closed on my desk, if it was some new Apple mini laptop, as the Zagg keyboard is made of the same material used on the back of the Ipad so they match perfectly when closed and it gives the look of a mini laptop. I find the whole setup light, and carry it around in my handbag. I charge the keyboard everynight to make sure it is fully charged, so I can't tell you how long a charge will last.Read more ›

I love this keyboard. I love the backlit keys and the magnets are extremely strong. It also looks great with my iPad 3. I have been reading the reviews and I have no idea what some of the reviewers are talking about regarding their iPad "falling out". The only way the iPad could fall out if the iPad was in vertically. My iPad has never fallen out. As for the back lit keys, there are times when I am in a dark room and it is difficult to see the keyboard. Well, now I don't have that problem anymore. Not only does this keyboard have backlight keys, it has seven colors! I previously had the Ultrathin Logitech and I liked it, but it did have two drawbacks. First, the magnets were too weak. It is suppose to work as a case and it does not. The keyboard would detach itself from the iPad 3 constantly even in my handbag. The only way to ensure that the keyboard and iPad would stay together I had to place them in a neoprene sleeve. Secondly, the Ultralthin Logitech has no backlight and that includes the caps lock. I hate it when there is no indication that the caps lock is on. I must admit that the Zaggskey ProPlus is slightly heavier, but the pros outweigh the cons. Once again, allow me to reiterate, my iPad has NEVER fallen out of this keyboard. This is an awesome keyboard!!
